The order is "<beginning-of-line>-<end-of-line>" ... that is sometimes
puzzeling me ...

The reasoning was:
It is a variation of ".|:" not "||", thus put ".|:", first and an
annotation last.
We could have gone for ".|:-c" or the like, but this would have been
less descriptive.
