There is an anecdote attributed to Winston Churchill who was called out
by a colleague as being drunk and replied "and you are ugly.  I'll be
sober again tomorrow."

There is a roadmap to getting LilyPond fixed in the respect of large
fractions (it will have an impact on its speed though).  It will not
exactly happen tomorrow but it's likely that it will eventually happen
and it's easier to do than acquiring social grace.

And it's not like LilyPond takes it ill when being made fun of.  So
don't let yourself get infected with ill will.
