Please be aware that on vanilla *ix systems this only works if the program
is executed via a PATH search.

E.g., if lilypond is in /usr/bin:

  cd /tmp
  lilypond   --> /usr/bin/lilypond
  cd /usr/bin
  ./lilypond   --> ./lilypond
