I didn't mean the playing technique is strange but the idea of such a notation. I think the more ordinary approach would be to use two voices and a very short duration followed by a pause. But if you manage to make your notation unambiguous it's probably more efficient.

What about this:

  \once \override Script.extra-offset = #'(-1.3 . -3)
  <bes' \staccato c''>
}

?

This places the dot on the "wrong" side of the notehead.
