Several things can be made.

#*# One. Put the slur down.

Still works in 2.17 as well.

#*# Two. Put a silent note.
I just use a random scale duration.
Scaled correctly should gives the exact time duration :)

I would prefer slur down to avoid the flag and connect from note head to the stem.
