Well, looks like I had to rethink/reorganize/rewrite a fair bit of the
argument parsing.
The good thing is that I don't need a lot of operator priorities any
more and that I actually now understand what I'm doing rather than
poking the parser with a stick until more things work than break.
Now I just need to get the comments up to scratch, and this stuff
becomes actually maintainable.
