I've been working on replicating an edition of the Fourth Concert by Georg Golterman (see attachment "
fourth_concert.ly").
This particular edition requires, at the end of the first part, two smaller ossia staves that are aligned directly above their respective main staves. I've managed to successfully recreate these two ossia staves on their own in a separate document (see attachment "
ossia_staves.ly").
However, when I insert the code of
ossia_staves.ly directly at the end of the
fourth_concert.ly document, the output looks nothing like it does in the
ossia_staves.ly document. The notes are all several octaves higher, a new staff is created, and the ossia staves are misaligned. They look fine in their own document, but when I put the code into the existing document, it becomes a disaster.
Does anybody know how I can successfully recreate the two ossia staves as they appear in the
document instead; i.e. how I can insert them into the fourth concert without the output going completely haywire? I have no idea what the problem is and nothing I have tried has worked.
