I don't agree about it being intractable. The main point is that
Context Specced music needs to be iterated _before_ anything else at a
given _main_ point of time (i.e., disregarding the grace timing) since
it might produce material going backwards in grace time in a different
context.
That's basically all there is to it as far as I understand. Now this
might be a naive misunderstanding about the problem's scope, but if it
is, it might make more sense to change the code to match the naive
understanding than the other way round.
