That is seriously nifty, you made these changes in less than 12 hours.  

This should perhaps be considered to be the default editor for the Mac Lilypond 
package... it should at least be linked to from the Lilypond web site.

I may be alone on this one, I don't know.

Well, this can already be done under the Format menu but doesn't remember the 
font size chosen between launches.

Mac users should check this out.  There may be some tweaks to recommend but 
it's very good as it stands.
