I'll keep proposal 1: dotted notes  c4. c4. |
That's what was written on the original score (I'm just arranging this).

At least the musician know a dotted quarter note is equal to three
eighth notes and can [try to] count them, which *could* be more
difficult with a duplet (did I mention it is the viola part ;p ?).

Only this part has this "hemiola feel" and I do not like proposal 4
because it does not show the "symmetry" of these 2 notes having the
same length.
