I havn't much clue about Javanese Gamelan (there are several quite
different kinds of traditional music in Java, actually). But I can try
to gather some information.

I'm definitely serious. Still learning as I go.

As a next step, I'll try to put together a small snippet with the whole
instrument set (about ten instrument groups) to give an impression of
what goes into the type of Gamelan I'm involved wit (there are actually
several quite different orchestra types in Bali, but for many the
structures are similar. Especially, this tight interlocking is a
recurring pattern.
