I'm sure I've seen this somewhere, but I'm damned if I can find it now.
I want to signal a change of singer by repeating the same clef symbol
(i.e. we're already using a treble clef, and I want to print another).
Is there a way of doing this without using markup?

e.g.

\score {
{ a1 | b | \clef G c | d }
}

?

Thanks, but doesn't do what I want. In effect, I want to do this:

\score {
{ \clef treble a1 | b | \clef G a | b }
}

and have the second clef displayed. I have a vague memory of this being
discussed before, but I can't find it anywhere.

Then I guess I am missing something, my example does display the 'treble' clef twice. See attached.

The first 'clef' in your requirement is the default clef and doesn't need an explicit \clef.
