I don't really see a reason why the Instrument_name_engraver is not part of
all the group contexts... After all, if no instrument name is set, it has no
effect anyway (except a little memory overhead, but compared to the 600Mb some
scores need that's also negligible). And if a user sets an instrument name,
(s)he definitely wants the staff group name to appear.
So, is there any real why that engraver is not added to all staff group
contexts, too?
