Hi, I had the same problem when trying to start jedit: "Invalid initial 
heap size: -XmsM"
and for me it was indeed solved when I added

JAVA_HEAP_INIT_SIZE=64  at the top of jedit script

above this: JAVA_HEAP_MAX_SIZE=192 which was already there.
