functional/degree theory – symbols

Dear list,

is it possible to engrave symbols of functional/degree theory (see attachment) 
with LilyPond? I didn't find any hint in the manual/snippet repository. I 
experimented with FiguredBass e.g.:

                         <f a c> <f a d>
                         <e g c> <d g b>
                         <e g c>1\bar"||"}
  \new Staff { \clef bass c2 a

The result is not satisfactory. I didn't even manage to achieve something like 
D 6-4
       5-3 (see attachment)

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
