Yes, I see the same with 2.12.1 on Vista and viewed with Adobe
Reader 8.1.3. See attached. A minor bug, but a definite one for a
program in which beautifully typeset music is the main objective.

If you look closely at the output produced by the above, the
right-hand stem
on the merged note is not exactly positioned in line with the
right-hand
side of the notehead. This is the example from section 1.5.2 of
the NR. I
can see the same thing in scores I have set, particularly with
merged half
notes that have a hollow notehead.
