Re: a:4 chord

Asus4 is a particular kind of chord where the "4" is held over from 
another harmony (like IV-I).

A4 would seem to indicate an 'A' played with a perfect fourth above (in 
the way 'A5' is understood to mean 'A' played with a perfect fifth above.
