Just curious if there's a place to find lilypond templates, particularly one
for an orchestra score? I'm having too many errors while trying to program
my own layout with partcombine and staffgroup not getting along with one
another. Thanks.

You might want to have a look, for instance, at
http://lsr.dsi.unimi.it/LSR/Item?id=103
or at http://www.mutopiaproject.org/cgibin/make-table.cgi?Instrument=Orchestra
A better option, might be to take a look at LilyPondTool,
http://lilypondtool.organum.hu/, which includes a template
generator, where you easily define your score setup yourself.

None of these two answers show you how to use
\partcomine, but within each \new Staff {...} you can use
it as described in the manual. Unfortunately, the \partcombine
function is known to have a number of limitations and problems,
so don't expect too much.
