If you run a Mac or Linux, I cannot tell you.
Mac: try Alt+c or Shift+Alt+c (i don't remember which one)
Linux: Shift+AltGr+c works here; I guess it depends on your distro.
Seems like three (!) different threads were opened for this (rather
simple) problem...
The relevant part in the manual is 8.1 "Text"
