Yes, I find it stands out as looking "sloppy".

Here's an example of what I think it *should* look like (untweaked as 
engraved by Igor Engraver v1.7):

Note how the top and bottom accidentals align (without touching), and 
how much "cleaner" the result is.

Well, I specifically remember looking at these practices in several 
engraving texts (including the ones referenced in the Lilypond docs), 
and I just physically checked some engraved scores (Peters, 
Bärenreiter, and Henle) -- the standard is to vertically align 
accidentals at the seventh (or greater), and the sixth where collision 
would not occur (e.g., natural above natural).

But where do I put it? I tried to put the directive both inside and 
outside the <> chord block, but got an error both times...
