Hello,
one can set the clef to transparent
\context Staff = staffIV \notes\relative c' {
\property Staff.Clef \set #'transparent = ##t
\clef violin
c4 d e f g a
}
Here no \remove in the paper section is required.
Another method would be to define a noclefStaff context similar to
the improvisation voice (SquashVoice) in test/improv.ly
(maybe overkill, depending on context and goals)
\score {
<
\context Staff = staffI \notes\relative c' {
\clef violin
c4 d e f g a
}
\context noclefStaff = staffII \notes\relative c' {
\clef violin
c4 d e f g a
\repeat unfold 20 {d d d d d d d d}
}
>
\paper {
\translator {
\StaffContext
\name noclefStaff
\alias Staff
\remove "Clef_engraver"
}
\translator {
\ScoreContext
\accepts noclefStaff
}
}
}
hope this helps.
