This is the desired behaviour! If you have chords of music that really 
belong to
one and the same voice, you should only have one slur. At least, that's 
the answer
usually given by the main authors of Lilypond whenever this question 
appears.
If you find some exception in a music typesetting book or in a score 
published by
some of the major publishers, send a bug report on Lilypond.
