Don't use ps-resize!
As illustrated by my resent 48 handclappers postings you can specify the 
size of the page with linewidth and textheight.
The shifting gets wrong, but this can be handled with the 
offset-argument of dvips.

We agree that this is very bad, but the output is nice, though.
