I did some tests recently - 20 Dec - with an aim to update the GC guide 
as our list of Linux Distributions instructions was getting a bit out of 
date and I did an explicit test with OpenSuSe 42.1 using the same 
instructions as we have in the CG today

I did not find any problems apart from the size of the download had 
increased.
