The graceful degradation would require some external javascript library like jquery...Seriously? That would be another unexpected dollar in my "can standardcommittee engineers really be that stupid" account. I really hope you are wrong about that, but as I said: if I had a dollar every time I overestimated the common sense of standard creators...
It's not as you see it.AFAIK, if you want to make a slider you need either CSS3 animations or a javascript library. CSS2 does not have animations. It's not engineers' fault, it's just a new feature that old browsers do not support natively.
The options are:1. Use CSS3 animations and prompt users with old browsers to upgrade to a new one (I know that it's not accepted here). 2. Use an external javascript library (I know that it's not accepted here). 3. Forget the slider and list the examples in the home page just like they are on the current example page.
4. Other? I guess that James can do option 3, if there's consensus on this change.
