Subject: Linux Audio link to 'Lilypond'
Hello,
Is anyone who 'manages' the Linuxaudio website (or anyone who knows
anyone from it) able to explain if I click
http://linuxaudio.org/members
Then look for
LilyPond Software Design
Support, custom development and maintenance for the LilyPond music
typesetter
Then click on the link I get taken here:
http://www.lilypond-design.com/ - which is a 'this URL is available
to buy' site.
Maybe there is some 'history' and this URL was owned by one of the
current/older devs but no longer, but I've never really understood
the relationship (if there is one) between the linuxaudio site and
lilypond in general other than a place to host our binaries. Is it
more apt to get the link to point to our lilypond.org site or am I
missing something?
James
My understanding is that, for us, the sole purpose of the LinuxAudio
site is as one with a high bandwidth internet connection that is
therefore suitable for hosting our large downloads. I'm guessing that
the LilyPond Software Design site used to be one where there could be
something like additional support for lily - typesetting maybe? and
it's now fallen into disuse. If you think it's important I could
contact the maintainer of the site?
