I was picking that example because the 2/2 default pattern implies
breaking 1/32 after quarter notes and 1/64 after half notes.  So that
could have implied having to revise a _break_ when a 1/64 note appears.
Because your code appears to assume that smaller timing will always
imply more breaks, and I was seeing a rule that differed from this
assumption.

Of course, the results were quite different from what I half expected to
see.
