I will do the details for beam-interface (I'm already looking at the beam
stuff for revising autobeaming).

Will you add a statement to the interface for slur and tie (similar to the
one that already exists for stem)?  And for semi-tie, add a statement that
the details are the same as for the tie-interface (that way they won't be
repeated and have the possibility of getting out of synch).

Once we've got those done, then I think we'll be able to apply the whole
patch set.
