To clarify a bit:  To keep track of accidentals, you need to know
where the bar lines are.  Knowing where the bar lines are requires
some processing beyond parsing.  Furthermore, to the best of my
knowledge, the bar line positions don't affect parsing at all.  This
strongly suggests that both bar line insertion and the accompanying
accidental management should come in a later phase.
