'make all' fails ChangeLog 1.3439

I had a strange thing happen with my Fedora Core 3 system.  It was
filled with filesystem inconsistencies and did not seem to be able to
repair itself.  I have reinstalled it (I managed not to lose my data)
and tried to compile CVS again.  I ran down the list of requirements for
compiling and I think I have it all.  Here is the exit error:
