There are also parts of lilypond.patch that you'll need to apply.

Should this be considered a bug? I mean, isn't this kind of patch that
configure is made to deal with?
I'm not complaining; it's just that once I've succeeded in making
Lilypond, I'll add the notes to INSTALL.txt for other potential OSX
Lilypond developers. Should OSX developers be patching certain files
manually, or can the basic Lilypond source tarball be modified to allow
for this?
