Ok. It looks like 'do not include pedal in the last note'.

What if you want to end the piece and depress the pedal simultaneously.

There is a fundamental problem what arises when pedal is connected to
the previous note. For example, you have only one note and you want to
include pedal to its complete duration. What kind of syntax you can use?

The following should work (currently it does not):

  c1 \pedalDown c1 \pedalUp \pedalDown \bar "|."

So that the pedal can be left down and it is released by in the end of
the piece. How do you show, e.g., that include pedal to the only note:

  c1 \pedalDown \bar "|."
