Thanks for pointing that out.  Making that change fixes the reported  
problem; however, now that I'm reading the code, I think there will be  
other problems if the staff has only one entry in the line-positions  
property.  This is the kind of straightforward task I would normally work  
on, but I'm rather busy with other things right now.
