Different initialization means exactly that.  You'll find the initial  
values in the Internals Reference, or you can look at them in  
scm/define-grobs.scm.  For example, there are different values for "ratio",  
and this is not all that surprising since phrasing slurs tend to be outside  
of normal slurs.
