http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=3295I don't think it is necessary to have those `8' glyphs identical. Given that the `ottava eight' is *much* larger than the `clef eight', the former should either use a larger optical size (if the font supports this feature) or a less bold version to compensate the size difference.
