Obviously, this is just a single example, and it can be hacked around by removing the -pthread option in the libtool script before linking, but I wanted to ask any advice on how to work with libtool when libraries are being built with two or more compiler toolchains. Has this scenario been dealt with before? Is it not a good idea in general?
Libtool was always developed with the expectation that it is used with the toolchain it was configured with, and the libraries it uses were built using the same toolchain.
The pthreads option is an obvious example but there are more subtle issues which crop up, not all due to libtool itself.
