Thanks. Committed to HEAD. I did not backport to 1.5, because there is no need (in 1.5, you still have both foo and foo.exe wrappers, so blah/blah/foo will, at worse, use the wrapper script directly.)

demo-relink is still looking for a nonexistent file, but that
may be intentional.  FYI, here's the two failures of the old suite:

| FAIL: tests/demo-hardcode.test
| FAIL: tests/demo-relink.test

I'm not sure I know how to address these issues, from the 'outside looking in'. I can kick off a native mingw testrun and send you the 'expected' output, if that would help, but otherwise?
