Mac OSX 10.3.x and libtool1.5.14

I've updated libtool to 1.5.14, many of my existing projects no longer 
build quoting different errors for different projects and libtool seems 
to be broken for the most part however, PHP4 still builds properly.

Errors ranging from -arch_only, requires --mode=MODE to other linking 
error messages are experienced, all I can say for all certainty is that 
the Apple supplied libtool worked but some sources required this update 
and now it's broken.

Is there a Mac patch available?
