Libtool on Linux Opteron?

Has anyone had the opportunity to test development libtool on 64-bit 
Linux to make sure that everything is ok?

I heard of an apparent failure to build a shared library under Gentoo 
Linux for Opteron.

While compiling an older version of development libtool under Digital 
Unix with the Alpha processor, there are hundreds of warnings while 
compiling libltdl.  The most worrysome are those regarding casting 
pointers to an integer of smaller size.  We need to make sure that 
libltdl is 64-bit clean.
