How about, for the last two:
LT_TAG_SETVAR -- set a tag variable
LT_TAG_GETVAR -- get the value of a tag variable
Seems a bit more descriptive.
And, why the need to move to a public namespace? Isn't only LT_INIT
and such in the public namespace? Is adding a tag something that
should be in the public namespace? Seems internal to libtool to me.
