more GNU/FreeBSD fixes

I'm afraid i have to send an update for my last GNU/FreeBSD patch, because
the config.guess triplet has recently been changed to *-kfreebsd*-gnu

The new patch (against current CVS) is attached. Please could you apply
to branches 1.5 and head?
