NTLM Support to messengers in linux possible???

Hi.
i read about libntlm in ubuntu repositories. ( kubuntu 6.10 user). i
am behind an ISAserver. u know this server uses NTLM authentication
for allowing internet access. i was able to browse for a long using
NTLM APS a proxy script which adds NTLM authentication in browser
queries but it had no support for messenger. now i learnt about this
lib. is it possible to use this lib for messengers like Gaim and
Kopete to communicate like MS Windows messengers ( MSN Yahoo etc..).
plz help me in this regard.
