No, they were updated appropriately:

LIB_VERSION_CURRENT=8
LIB_VERSION_REVISION=0
LIB_VERSION_AGE=0

Note that "CURRENT=8" has NOTHING to do with 0.9.0, it is simply a function of 
library compatibility and not the human-readable version number (see libtool 
library versioning rules).
