This just caught my eye. Where did you get these stats? I found the following
in the manuals:
L4/x86: 255 tasks and 64 threads per task.
L4/MIPS: 2048 tasks and 128 threads per task.
I haven't read the alpha manual in detail but, I know that you have
1024 tasks (address spaces) and 256 threads (per task).
Still not enough, but more than 64.
