LC's MODS XML Schema Updated

of June 6, 2002) of the LC MODS (Metadta Object Description Schema)
schema. The web page hasn't been updated to reflect the new version, but
the online version of the schema is now at version 1.15 (the web page
still says 1.0). LC has also updated the MARC to MODS mapping file (as of
June 8, 2002) simplifying some of the more difficult mappings. The example
files do not seem to have been updated yet as they do not validate against
