Hi Olivier,
Sorry to email you personally, but I've sent the below to the mailing
list, and i can't see it in the archive so i'm wondering if it is
somehow caught in limbo somewhere. Hope you can help me.
I haven't seen it on the list either.
[..]
I recently converted from centos5 to ubuntu 11 and I'm trying to
reproduce the jailkit setup I had on my old centos. It seems like the
chroot environment and the users are setup correctly, but when I
connect with ssh my connection gets killed immediately with data
received. For example, rsync says:
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [sender]
But if I change the shell in the<jailkit home>/etc/passwd to
/bin/bash, then the same command works fine (so the chroot environment
is not to blame here I think?).
Is there something obvious that I might have missed that would cause this?
a jk_lsh misconfiguration? if you have enabled logging in the jail the
error will show up in your logs.
Olivier
