Hi Folks,I am getting the following error in /var/log/messages Mar 19 11:59:45 teclt70 jk_chrootsh[3903]: abort, failed to get user information in the jail for user ID 503: Permission denied, check /home/jail/etc/passwd but I cannot see what the problem might be. Hoping someone can shed some light on it.
is it actually using the password file? check <jail>/etc/nsswitch.conf perhaps it is a permission denied for something else (nscd socket?)the error 'permission denied' is from calling getpwnam() or getpwuid() and these functions use nsswitch.conf to see where they should lookup user info.
