There is no pre-defined functionality in Gnus to do this. It would be
very slow on most backends, because you'd be filling the thread one
article at a time (that's what `A T' does), and has not been requested
by anyone so far AFAIK. If you feel strongly that it's needed, perhaps
you or someone else can put together a solution that could become part
of Gnus.
