wrong type argument

On trying to get out of a group this morning, I got an error message
stating:

Wrong type argument: stringp, nnmail-fancy-expiry-target

(I am typing this from memory)

and I could not leave the group via 'q'. The only way to get out was to
C-k the windows. The only thing that I can think of that might coincide
with this is an apt-get dist-upgrade that I was running on my system,
which is sid. Here is the piece of code in my .gnus.el that mentions
nnmail-fancy-expiry-target:

(setq nnmail-expiry-target 'nnmail-fancy-expiry-target
       nnmail-fancy-expiry-targets
       '((to "jerianne" "nnml:mail.jerianne")))

I have only been using gnus for a little while. What I am trying to
accomplish with this code is that any mail in any box (my sent-mail box
particularly) that is to jerianne should be expired to the mail.jerianne
group (which never expires).

Thanks for any help.

You're working under a slight handicap. You happen to be human.
