I cannot reproduce this with XEmacs 21.4.12.
Please show us the output of the following commands (press `C-x C-e'
after the expressions in brackets):
- (mm-char-int ?t)
- (mm-char-int 116)
- C-h f mm-char-int RET
- C-h v system-configuration-options RET
- (featurep 'mule)
